FOUNDING STORY

Future in Media’s mission is to empower 1,000,000 businesses to predictably and ethically 10x their incomes, enabling them to provide the best lives for their families and live the dreams they’ve always envisioned. At just 15 years old, Derick Sequeira began his professional soccer career, playing for Toronto FC and representing Team Canada on the national stage. By 19, a pivotal conversation with Michael Bradley, captain of the USA national team and Toronto FC, sparked a revelation. Michael asked, “Is this what you really want—eat, sleep, train, repeat?” While Derick’s immediate answer was yes, a part of him couldn’t ignore the lingering thought that he was destined for more. Derick’s parents, immigrants from Nicaragua who arrived in Canada in 1989, instilled in him a relentless drive and resilience. Growing up, life was never easy—it was filled with challenges. But through these challenges, Derick found his strength, discovering that the only way to grow was to embrace and enjoy them. After retiring from professional soccer, Derick sought a new challenge. His winning mentality made the transition into business a natural fit, and his passion found a new home in the automotive space.

The turning point came when he stood amidst luxury vehicles—Porsches, Lamborghinis, Bugattis, Rolls Royces—realizing he wanted to build something extraordinary for himself. Starting as a mobile tint installer for major brands like Honda, Acura, BMW, Mercedes, and more, Derick quickly gained momentum. Within just six months, he knew he was ready for his own shop. In 2017, he opened his first shop, and soon, the garage was consistently filled with 10-20 cars—a testament to the success of his business. Derick’s journey evolved from tinting to ceramic coating, PPF, large format printing, wedding graphics, storefront graphics, and eventually digital marketing and sales. By focusing on high-ticket services, his business skyrocketed. Now, through Future in Media, he dedicates his expertise to installing systems for development, training, marketing, and sales—helping business owners 10x their revenue and achieve the dream life they’ve always desired. Today, Future in Media promises to transform businesses from $100,000 to $10,000,000+, equipping them with the winning mindset and strategies needed for exponential growth.
